Thoughts for the Week:

If I was a client, I think I’d say: “This is a busy time both internally and externally, but it’s going well. You are taking time to reflect (Hermit) on your motivations (Devil) are finding that you have the support (Star) and fortitude (Strength) to move forward on many new ideas (5 of Wands). You are also bringing those ideas into the real world with careful planning and strategy (Kings). This is a week of tremendous possibility, a hinge point in how you see yourself (Devil, Star). Be on the look out for opportunities that bring your head, heart, and spirit into alignment through actionable plans (3 of Wands, King of Coins) as well as anyone (King of Swords, Empress) who appreciates the vision you have for yourself.

1. Sunday (Sun) True Self, Ego, Life Force, Money 5 of Wands

How you get your life force revitalized: I’m all over the map. It’s a busy time. I’m on fire with ideas – competing ideas – but I love it. Yes, it is revitalizing!

2. Monday (Moon) Emotions, Changes, Journeys The Devil

How you get your emotional needs met: Oddly, this is a very comforting card to see here. Right now I am in the process of big changes – not outwardly, but personally. I am redefining how I think of myself, and what things I choose to prioritize. It’s a tremendously rewarding process, all this self-reflection and goal setting. I chose this card for my contribution to an upcoming BlogHop, so it’s a very potent card right now. I’ve learned that sometimes The devil highlights where we hold on too tightly, so we can learn to let go.

3. Tuesday (Mars) Ambition, Energy, Risk King of Keys (Swords)

How you express your energy. Your drives: I’ve come up with some great ideas for the blog lately (if I do say so myself) and I think of this guy as the entrepreneur, the strategist. Writing things down is exactly how I am expressing am energy and drive right now.

4. Wednesday (Mercury) Communication, Business Matters The Star

Your communication style. What stimulates you intellectually: I LOVE that this is in communication and business matters. I am *still* interviewing for a teammate at work and have high hopes that this is the week I can move forward with the hiring process.

5. Thursday (Jupiter) Faith, Luck, Abundance The Hermit

How you achieve a sense of faith and optimism: I feel rich when I have time alone to think. I’ve had a lot of that lately, and want more. Also, blogging is a very solitary activity, so perhaps this (along with The Star) means nice things for some of my blogging plans.

6. Friday (Venus) Love, Beauty, Pleasure Strength

How you express love. Who/What attracts you. This is interesting. Expressing love is a matter of knowing how people want to be loved. Love is about seeing someone’s strengths and weaknesses. Also, given that I am interviewing for a teammate, I wonder if this is her – strong but still, able but kind, a kindred spirit.

7. Saturday (Saturn) Discipline, Work, Stability King of Pentacles (Coins)

Your work ethic. The way you embody discipline: Yup. He matches the King of Swords in a way. I am coming up with ideas, but I’m also writing them down. Setting up accounts, scheduling things. A nice balance.

8. Jumpers: 3 of wands, The Empress

(messages that have to get through) There are two meanings for me in this combination. One is personal, and has very much to do with why I would not recap my week in the previous posting. It could mean: “She will be all right, with work and effort,” which is wonderful.

Another take could be that it’s full steam ahead for me to create a life for myself as mistress of my destiny. I love what Michelle Morgan says in A Magical Course in Tarot,

“There is tremendous potential inherent in this card’s synthesis of heart, mind, and spirit. From the heart comes hunger and ambition; from the mind, direction and free will; from the spirit, the fire and passion necessary to manifest whatever is desired. Life takes on an expressive, childlike quality now, and kindred spirits are everywhere, drawn by the nature of your energy.”

That, with the Empress, is a message I needed to hear. Nurture yourself by nurturing your dreams. You have the force of will of a mother in you to manifest what you are seeking. Now it the time to use that to your full advantage.
