Weekly Reading Recap 6.20.15

At the end of the week I like to go back and see what my predictions were on the previous Sunday, and see if they panned out. So often we only remember the coincidence, and discount too quickly the card that missed the mark. This is a way I can keep myself honest, and improve my skills as a reader.

The Hermit. Three times in daily draws. Three.

So yes, the cards were very accurate in terms of what went on this week, but I was driven to distraction by the Hermit. Yes, I made sure to take time for myself. Yes. But still? Again? And again? How many social outings do I have to say ‘no’ to before it’s enough?

Luckily, Kristin at Over the Moon Oracle Cards came up with a great spread just for my situation. Talk about synchronicity! She was in the rough draft stage of developing the spread when I tried it and snapped a picture. It’s even better now.

When the Hermit shows up, he’s trying to get me to pay attention to the big picture. (The World.) Right now I feel like I am working on two opposite things (2 of Wands) that ask for energy and I need to release something about that situation. True, I’m making plans for the next school year and making plans for the blog. If I embrace the wisdom of other professionals who perhaps have a more developed approach (The Hierophant) I might feel better. Good news, as I am about to spend two weeks doing professional development – but who can I learn from in terms of tarot? I’ll have to figure that out. I might see that things are not so contentious as they seem. Next time I see The Hermit, it’s time to take action in a measured, thoughtful, but decisive way. (Judgement.) I have no idea what that is, but now I’m on the look out. I’ll keep you posted!
