Music for Tarot Readings HeaderSometimes you need a little help to set the mood for a tarot reading. Music can block out the noisy neighbor, the frustrating day you just had, or simply bring you from the ordinary world into a space of calm introspection. It’s also hugely helpful when reading for others who might be nervous or skeptical. In this series of posts I wanted to highlight the artists and albums that get me all ready for divination. 

It’s mid-day and you are reading at your favorite occult supply store. It’s a long Sunday and you have decided to stay in and stay silent sand TV in order to get to a deeply meditative place. Or, you have finally convinced your friend who doesn’t believe in all that ‘woo-woo’ to let you give her a reading. You’ll need music that is light, soft, and a touch serious. Enter Riley Lee. Master of the bamboo flute, a shakuhachi, Mr. Lee has made many albums that will fit these particular situations. I’d recommend starting with Music for Zen Mediation. It’s a double album so you can put it on and forget that it’s there – until you realize it’s been hours of slow breaths and clear thoughts and it’s still going…
